The village of Baume Les Messieurs in the French Jura
Depending on how energetic you feel, you can walk, cycle or drive up to Granges sur Baume overlooking the village, either to admire the view from one of the belvederes, or to purchase the local produce including the delicious Comté cheese. Baume les Messieurs is well situated for visiting the wine producers at Château Chalon - the birthplace of Vin Jaune, Arbois-Pupillin, L'Etoile, and Côtes du Jura.
